Study of Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) Technology in Laboratory Conditions

Abstrakt

The UCG technology shows a less detrimental environmental impact as all coal remains underground in the process and leaves less emissions and traces as no aboveground gasifiers are required. The gas is processed to remove harmful particulates and CO2. Coal gasification is safe and economical in particular for large power stations. UCG, a recognized low-carbon technology, is even more attractive when combined with carbon dioxide capture and storage.
