Abstract

The deposition of C nanolayers decreases the contact angle significantly. Also, it slightly increases the surface roughness, morphology does not change significantly. Furthermore, it was found that heat treatment of deposited layers induces a significant change in surface morphology and roughness of PLLA and formation of lamellar structure. The parameters of lamellar structure are strongly dependent on the deposition distance of C. The deposited C layer increases surface electric conductivity dramatically. The combination of laser modification of PLLA surface, deposition of thin C film and subsequent heating brings about significant changes of surface properties of the studied polymers that are attractive for tissue engineering.
