100th Anniversary of the Discovery of Chromatography

Abstrakt

The article is devoted to the discovery of chromatography by M. S. Tswett. The life and scientific work of the founder as well as of his contemporaries and followers are presented. Nobel prize winners whose work was connected with the use and further development of chromatography are mentioned. A few milestones in the history of chromatography are pointed out and their importance is discussed.
