Abstract

The apparatus can be easily used in school laboratories for demonstration of electrolysis. Its advantages are low cost, easy set-up, and a low consumption of the electrolyte. Electrolyses of water and halide solutions are presented. A simple derivation of the equation for determining the amount of the electrolysis product is given.
