Classification System of Lipids
Abstract
A new recommendation for classification of lipids was published, to be used particularly in biosciences. It consists of eight major groups, e.g. fatty acyls, glycerolipids, glycerophospholipids, sphingolipids, steroids, prenols, saccharolipids and polyketides. These groups are subdivided into a total of 69 classes and well over 200 subclasses.Downloads
