Abstract

The main aim of this paper was to demonstrate the effect of surface functionalization of magnesium oxide filler by a silane coupling agent on dielectric properties of the whole composite dielectric. The real and imaginary part of complex permittivity, volume resistivity and minute polarization index were measured and investigated. This paper shows the possibilities of how to improve dielectric properties by better dispersing the nanoparticles through the addition of the silane coupling agent.
