Abstract

Henry Eyring (1901–1981) was in a recent article from this journal mentioned as a Nobel laureate. Although he should have received the Nobel Prize in chemistry, he was never awarded it. His case is in fact considered among oversights or errors of the Nobel Prize committee (similarly to the cases of D. I. Mendeleev, L. Hammett, or Lise Meitner).
