Abstract

Chelates of Ni2+ and Zn2+ ions with alkyl azinyl ketoximes facilitate hydrolysis of alkanoates, their hydrolytic efficiency being remarkable in several cases. To explain the observed differences in their reactivity, several properties (composition, stability, acidity and nucleophilicity) of the chelates were investigated.
